Michael V. Pundeff has more than 30 years experience as a litigation and transactional attorney handling complex business, real property, and public regulatory work in California and federal courts.   Mr. Pundeff received a B.A. with honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara (1976), an M.A. from UCLA (1978), and his J.D. from the University of San Diego, School of Law (1981).  Before starting his own law firm in 2006, Mr. Pundeff was with the San Diego law firm of Robbins & Keehn, APC, where he served as Vice President, Shareholder, and a Senior Member o fits Business Litigation department for more than 20 years.

Mr. Pundeff has won verdicts for his clients in numerous jury and judge trials in San Diego courts and has prevailed in several high-profile cases on appeal.  He was lead counsel in the Firoito v. State Farm Insurance Company case which resulted in a precedent-setting decision requiring insurance companies to pay the attorneys fees and related costs which insureds are required to incur before tendering lawsuits to the insurance companies for defense.   He served as co-counsel in a case which significantly expanded the protection of copyrights (National Theme Productions, Inc. v. Beck) and a case in which an insurer was found liable for more than $1.5 million in punitive damages for bad faith (Petersen v. Liberty Mutual Insurance).

Mr. Pundeff serves as Arbitrator with the San Diego County Bar Association and an Associate Faculty member at the University of Phoenix, School of Business.  He is a member and Past President of the La Mesa Rotary Club.

Mr. Pundeff was admitted to the California Bar in 1981 and is licensed to practice before all courts of the State of California, as well as before the United States District Courts in the Southern, Central Districts of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
