Almost every household is made up of one or more employees. Secure
employment provides individuals with a means to feed, clothe, and house
themselves and their families, and often serves as a source of basic human
dignity. Ideally, employees can enjoy a working environment free from
discrimination, harassment, environmental hazards, and other illegal or damaging
employer practices. A person’s safety, livelihood, and pride should not give way
to the unfair and unlawful decision making of their employer. PIAC provides low
cost legal services against employers who fail to provide a safe work space,
required retirement or health care benefits, and a discrimination-free environment.
